Keith D. Moyer

Keith D. Moyer was raised in a small rural town in, Axton, Virginia by a family scarce in income but great in love. He was the 4th of 5 children in a home where his foundation of faith and family began. It was there that he learned his work ethic, integrity, morals, values, and commenced his walk with the Lord.

Pastor Keith moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend college at DeVry Institute of Technology and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Management. He spent more than two decades in the field of avionics. Pastor Keith is employed full-time with the Federal Aviation Administration as an Airway Specialist.

Prior to becoming a Pastor at Tabernacle of Refuge Ministries, Pastor Keith took a very active role in several ministries at the church. He has worked and continues to work with the Men of Valor Ministry, Couples Ministry, Music Ministry, and Couples in Waiting. Generally, Pastor Keith can always be found helping out in any number of capacities, whenever needed. His leadership, calm demeanor, humble spirit, hard-work ethic, and fun-loving nature are some of the qualities that define him. Pastor Keith selflessly shares life’s lessons and testimonies for transparency to encourage the growth of God’s people. He is a powerful teacher, imparting the wisdom that God has given to him, and he enjoys serving in ministry with his lovely wife, Jawana Moyer, of almost 30 years. Together, they are the proud parents of Tristan and Keianna who diligently serve in numerous ministries with their parents.

Jawana A. Moyer

Jawana A. Moyer is an original Georgia peach. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia in a household led by her grandmother and mother who knew and imparted the value and virtue of having an intimate personal relationship with the Lord. From an early age, she was active in her church and community exemplifying the essence of her beliefs and faith in God. It was her faith that propelled her forward in life through every struggle, every challenge, and every obstacle. She is a woman of high standards, character, wisdom, with a heart filled with love.

Pastor Jay (as she is affectionately called) graduated from Georgia State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. While pursuing her career in Business Administration, she selflessly provided tutoring services at a local inner-city church. It was then she realized her passion was embedded in enriching the lives of children through education. A year after graduation and with a full scholarship, she pursued her Master's Degree in Instruction and Curriculum, graduating from Clark Atlanta University with Magna Cum Laude honors. While working in the classroom, Pastor Jawana utilized her passion, influence, and compassion for others to not only shape the hearts and minds of students but to transform the lives of her peers, parents, and people who God would send along her path. After a career of 20 years as an educator, God allowed her ministry to flow and expand beyond the halls and walls of the school building. Hence, she retired to dedicate herself to full-time ministry at Tabernacle of Refuge Ministries, Inc. One aspect of the journey that remains dear to her heart is that several of her former students and parents are a part of the flock she's called to shepherd.

As an educator by profession, the Lord prepared her to boldly teach his word with the anointing and power he endowed upon her. Before becoming a Pastor at TOR, Pastor Jay worked tirelessly with many ministries. Now, her work within the local ministry and community at large encompasses the Women of Change Women’s Ministry, Couple’s Ministry, Sunday school, Singles Ministry, fellowship outings, leadership conferences, various youth groups, special projects, and she sits on the board of directors for (Breaking Barriers Creating Hope) a nonprofit organization. She wrote a proposal and was recently awarded a community grant to assist in breaking health and low self-worth strongholds in the lives of women in the ministry and the community. Her knowledge of the Word, commanding presence, and ability to speak right to the hearts of God’s people is changing lives, healing hurts, and renewing hope.

Ultimately, it is her goal to acquire extensive training in church laws and regulations to further expand her influence within the local and global community. However, her greatest desire and joy in life and ministry is found serving alongside her husband of almost 30 years, Keith Moyer. She’s most passionate about her duties as a mom to her two young adult children, Tristan and Keianna who are working on advanced degrees and serving in ministry with their parents.
